We are thrilled to invite artists working in Amsterdam West to participate in Green Paradise Amsterdam, a pop-up exhibition dedicated to envisioning the garden city of the future. This project, hosted at the Meterhuisje in the Cultuurdorp Westergas, emerges as a dynamic extension of the exhibition The Workers' Paradise: World Garden Cities, on show at Museum Het Schip.
We encourage you to delve into the possibilities and challenges of urbanism and green environments through your art. This is your chance to share your vision for the garden city of tomorrow, and to bring that vision to life through tangible artworks. We are issuing an open call for artists connected to creative hubs, offering you the opportunity to present your ideas and turn them into concrete plans.
You have until 5 PM on 9 December to submit a proposal explaining how you would like to articulate the concept of the Garden City of the Future through your work. We encourage you to explore innovative and inspiring ideas that highlight the relationship between art, nature and urban development. Works from all disciplines are welcome; whether you make paintings or installations, community art or photography, and so on - we encourage you to submit your work!
